Laser works on hair that is actively growing, and not every follicle is in that phase at the same moment. That is why treatment is delivered as a course spaced at set intervals rather than as a single appointment, and why consistency matters more than intensity.
Patch test and consultation
A patch test is required before your first treatment. This confirms how your skin responds and allows settings to be selected safely for your skin type and hair colour. It also gives us the chance to talk through what laser can and cannot achieve on your particular hair, which varies more than most people expect.

What to expect
Consultation and patch test
Your skin type, hair type and medical history are reviewed, and a patch test is carried out ahead of your first full treatment.
Preparation
The area is shaved and cleansed. Do not wax, pluck or use epilating methods beforehand, as the follicle needs to be intact.
Treatment
The laser is applied across the area at settings selected for your skin and hair.
Cool and protect
The area is cooled and soothed, and you leave with aftercare and your next appointment interval.

- Downtime
- Minimal to none. Mild redness around the follicles can occur temporarily.
- Course
- A course is needed because hair grows in different phases. Usually 6 to 8 treatments, spaced according to the area and the hair growth cycle.

- Progressive reduction in hair growth through the course. Results vary with hair colour, skin type, hormones and individual response.

Aftercare
Avoid heat, exercise, hot showers, saunas and swimming for the period advised. Do not use sunbeds or expose the area to direct sun, and protect treated skin with high-factor sun protection between sessions. Shave rather than wax between appointments.
